2009-2010

This year we had a decrease in events due to the construction of the Synthetic field/comfort station and water front node.

April 150 Millenium Art Students / various tasks

May 45 Scanlan volunteers / tree stewardship

June 45 Scanlan students / (It's My park Day) waterfront cleanup

Sept. 12 cancelled 50 scanlan students (rain) Oct 2nd re scheduled

Sept. 19th Build on 100 Students

These are all wonderful assets to the park and we look foward to an even larger volunteer effort next year with the comfort station.

We hope to some day have a pavillion that would protect us in our events that are mostly rain or shine.

It was been a Great season at Ferry Point Park 2008-2009

as of Nov. 8th we had over 600 volunteers helping us improve the Park. Thank You for your help volunteers.

From Nov. to August we have had over 250 volunteers

we still have Sept. and Oct. events to add in.

We hope to be able to offer you shelter, a comfort station, and better snacks and beverages for the coming year.

March 2008:

We took in a 10 year old Chiwawa that needed a quick home or would be euthanized.

Although all our pets are fixed, we ended up with 4 puppies from this rescued dog...

The puppies already have adoptive homes available, we are just being very picky as to who will be able to keep them safe, happy and healthy for their lifetime.

2008: The good news is we don't have any pregnant Cats anymore due to our successful TNR Trap Neuter and Return.

The Bad news is there are 5 people asking for our smart, affectionate kittens.

2009: Angora Black and white mom "Beauty" came to Brush Ave. Pregnant. She had her kittens behind th egarage, we made them comfortable in the green house so we could tame them neuter them and find homes.

The Mom cat got hit by a car...Keebler took over the kittens although they did not need milk.

Maria Meli took one for her daughter, then one for her nephew, then one for a play partner for the other. Sals friend at work took one. Thank you guys for taking these really nice extra toed kittens.

June, 06 Misty was spayed and now will stay home in the safety of her new family instead of wanting to run in the streets.

May 07  Scolio just went to get spayed and she had a lot of cysts on her ovaries. She is recouping with her brother Phantom  who got neutered.

Oct.. 2006 Keeblers Dog family got all new cages, sleep pillows and blankies...they are enjoying them....

Nov. 2006 Keeblers Cat Family got all new cages, litter boxes, sleep pillows and blankies...they don't like being caged at night, but they are much safer.

Dec. 2006 Bella the only puppy from the Brown Chiwawa and Elys male crossed Brush Ave. and was picked up by strangers.... Dotti and Prissilla looked all over but found out later that the puppy was seen being picked up near the driveway to Pro Foods. If anyone reading this has the puppy, it belongs the the basement apt. at 712 Brush Ave.

March 2 2007 Bonnie got her tooth stuck in her sisters metal buckle on her collar and broke her bottom tooth when trying to get in out...shes ok now that she has rested with her little sister in the laundry room fo a few days...she will be going to the Doggie Dentist to have it removed if it does not come out by itself soon.

Bugsey twisted his ankle on the ice and is wearing and ace bandage to support it while it rests.

ONE OF THE PET SQUIRRELS HAS BEEN COMING TO GET NUTS "TIPSEY".

Sonar is now in heat...she will get fixed soon...she is in a kennel for now, not to thrilled

Keebler decided to make milk again, she is making Phantom who is now grown, drink the milk....he is not thrilled with her controlling mama ways while he is a teenager already. Keebler is in her kennel for now til we schedule her to get fixed.

Sky who had the scary virus that turned his blood brown....is doing fine except he seems a little weak compared to the others...

We had some of the bad food, but only 10 cans were eaten mixed with other good food so the animals are fine....

July20,2007 all the animals are doing well, the black squirrel who I call "Bugger" has had two babies who came out of nest and are now looking for nuts...one is grey with white belly and one is brown/black...they are very funny to watch as they play

Don't be afraid if "Bugger" Stares at you, she is hoping you will throw her a piece of bread, or peanuts...she was raised by humans as a baby so she is not very afraid of you....she will not jump on you, she could bite your hand by accident if it smells like food, so let go of the bread or peanut....or keep your hand open with the nut in the middle

The grey striped and white cat"aqua eyes, Hop a-long" has been losing weight as he tries to heal a broken arm. 2008, arm seems to be much better, gaining weight back

REMEMBER YOUR PETS ARE ANIMALS THEY DO NOT KNOW RIGHT FROM WRONG ALL THE TIME....BE CAREFUL!!! DON'T HURT THEM OR PRETEND TO HURT THEM.....
